Cancer is a disease which is of course very frightening for many people. However, cancer can still be treated if it is diagnosed early. For that, there are some symptoms of cancer you need to be aware and you should not ignore.

Early symptoms of cancer are often ignored by patients because they can disappear by itself. Whereas the earlier the cancer is detected, the greater the life expectancy of patients.

At least there are 11 symptoms of cancer that should not be ignored, according to Lifemojo.

1. Weight decreases unexpectedly
Many women would love to lose weight without exercise or strict dieting, but this may turn into cancer symptoms unless not caused by a hyperactive thyroid gland. Therefore, unexpected and unintentional weight loss should not be ignored.

2. Bloating
Bloating is generally felt by many people, but if you constantly feel bloated for a longer period of time, then that is something that should not be ignored. Beware of other symptoms such as pelvic pain, urinary problems, incontinence (inability to control bowel movements) and a feeling of fullness even without eating a lot. These symptoms may show symptoms of ovarian cancer.

3. Changes in the breast
To raise awareness of breast cancer, many women today have developed the habit of self examination. They usually look for lumps, but this is not the only symptom. Women also have to be careful redness and thickening of the skin of the breast. Rash for a few weeks will require medical attention.

4. Unusual bleeding
If you are experiencing unusual bleeding between menstrual periods, then it should not be ignored. Unfortunately, many premenopausal women tend to ignore this. This can be a symptom of uterine , endometrial or colorectal cancer. If blood appears in the urine or feces will be more than just hemorrhoids. This could indicate colon , bladder or kidney cancer.

5. Skin changes
Be wary of skin changes such like excessive pigmentation, bleeding or the formation of a new mole. This can be a symptom of skin cancer.

6. Swallowing difficulty
Difficulty in swallowing food or discomfort after swallowing food, if it continues to occur over several days, then must get a doctor’s attention. This may show throat cancer.

7. Changes in the mouth
If you are a smoker or consume any form of tobacco, then you will need to check every white patches on the tongue and the inside of the mouth. This can be a sign of cancer of the mouth or leukoplakia.

8. Constant pain
The American Cancer Society states that any continuous pain or pain in the body should be examined as a symptom of cancer, despite not all the pain always indicate cancer growth.

9. Changes in the lymph nodes
If there is enlargement of lymph nodes in the neck or underarm and lasts for more than a month, it is necessary to get medical attention.

10. Fever and persistent cough
When the fever and cough occur continuously but not caused by influenza or other infections, then it could be a symptom of leukemia or lymphoma. Coughing can accompany a cold or flu and fever, but if the cough persists for more than 3 weeks, it should not be ignored.

11. Changes in testicular
Testicular cancer is more common in men in the age group of 20 to 39 years old. Testicular self-examination on a regular basis needs to be done and any changes in appearance should not be ignored.

Lung growth is the product of wicked cells forming in the tissues of the lung, usually in the cells lining the air passages. The cells in our bodies are constantly dividing and reproducing. Usually, there’s a neat outline to this reproduction as cells upgrade and specialize to rally particular desires. Occasionally, however, a unit becomes dented. There’s a mutation in its DNA, and very than mounting and final as is ordinary, it continues to replicate unimpeded. In essence, this is melanoma – uncontrolled reproduction and growth of abnormal cells in the body.

Most lung cancers are held to twitch in the epithelial lining of the lungs – the linings of the large and small airways that work the task of extracting oxygen from the air. Because this, lung pest is sometimes called bronchogenic carcinoma – disease arising from the bronchia. A lesser percentage of lung cancers instigate in the pleura – the tinny hankie sac that surrounds the lungs. These cancers are called mesothelioma. The most joint form of mesothelioma is related to asbestos exposure.

Cancer of the lungs is one of the deadliest forms of melanoma. While it may take an interval of years to cultivate, the evil regularly goes undetected awaiting belatedly in the method. In addition, it tends to metastasize (migrate to other parts of the body) early, which grass excluding opportunities to brawl the mutated cells with surgery or radiation. Once the lung menace does metastasize, it promptly spreads to the most vulnerable and important organs of the body, particularly the adrenal glands, the liver, the brain and the bones.

There are two principal forms of lung tumor – Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) and Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). Small Cell Lung Cancer is minus communal, though far more deadly. It’s directly coupled to cigarette smoking – minus than 1% of SCLC is diagnosed in non-smokers. It’s also very aggressive and fast-emotive, metastasizing quickly to other organs, and regularly undiscovered awaiting it’s already widespread.

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, on the other hand, is far more shared, accounting for near 80% of all diagnosed lung cancers. There are three focal types of non-small faction lung evil, usually characterized by the magnitude, mold, and substance composition of the cells that form the pest:

Squamous Cell Carcinoma (also termed Epidermoid Carcinoma): accounts for around 25% – 30% of all lung cancers, and is associated with a saga of smoking. This menaced is near always found usually chest section, near the bronchus.

Adenocarcinoma (also termed Bronchioloalveolar Carcinoma): accounts for around 40% of all lung cancers, and is found in the outside expanse of the lung. Treatment for this form of lung melanoma regularly leads to a more successful outcome than that of other lung cancers.

Large-Cell Undifferentiated Carcinoma: accounting for only 10% – 15% of lung cancers, this form may show up in any district of the lung. It tends to broaden quickly, and often fallout in a humble prospects.

It’s also possible for lung canker to be a combination of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer types.

There are other, less usual types of lung cancer. For example, bronchial carcinoids are small tumors often found in people under 40 years of age. They lean to grow gradually, and be willing to dealing. Carcinoid tumors account for about 5% of lung tumors. Some are non-cancerous. The others are usually leisurely-growing and can be successfully treated with surgery.

Finally, some cancers discovered in the lungs aren’t lung cancers at all. Since the lungs are level to metastatic cancers from other sites, it’s not uncommon for tumors from other primary cancers to find their way to the lungs. When this occurs, the tumors are often discovered in the peripheral tissues of the lungs quite than in the chief tissues.

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women in the United States, with approximately 180,000 cases diagnosed each year. Researchers continue to evaluate environmental factors, such as diet, that influence the development of breast cancer. Numerous studies have provided a wealth of often-contradictory information about the detrimental and protective factors of different foods. High fruit and vegetable consumption has been associated with a reduced risk for developing at least 10 different cancers. Studies evaluating the influence of diet on breast cancer prognosis have produced inconsistent results.

Researchers from California and Utah assessed a cohort of 1,901 women from the Life After Cancer Epidemiology (LACE) Study who were diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer between 1997 and 2000. Upon entering the study, the women completed a food frequency questionnaire (FFQ). The researchers used the data from the FFQs to identify two dietary patterns among the women: a prudent diet included high intakes of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and poultry, whereas a Western diet included high intakes of red and processed meats and refined grains. The researchers then evaluated the rates of recurrence, overall death, death from breast cancer, and death from causes other than breast cancer. As of May 2008, there were 268 breast cancer recurrences and 226 deaths, 128 of which were attributed to breast cancer.

After analyzing the data, the researchers found that women who followed the prudent diet had a statistically significant decreased risk of overall death and death from non–breast cancer causes, whereas those who followed the Western diet had an increased risk of overall death and death from non–breast cancer causes. Neither dietary pattern was associated with a risk of breast cancer recurrence or death from breast cancer. Because the prudent diet was associated with a decreased risk of overall death, the researchers concluded that “women diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer may benefit from dietary patterns that include healthier foods such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and poultry and less consumption of red meat and refined foods.” Journal of Clinical Oncology

Terra med Alliance News Doctors and experts are in uproar over new recommendations to raise the age of breast cancer screening, warning more women will die from the disease which already claims some 40,000 lives each year.

Terra med Alliance News : Doctors and experts are in uproar over new recommendations to raise the age of breast cancer screening, warning more women will die from the disease which already claims some 40,000 lives each year.

The high-level United States Preventative Services Task Force of scientists and researchers Monday recommended that breast cancer screening in women should now start at the age of 50 as opposed to 40.

And it further said that women between the ages of 50 to 74 should be screened every two years instead of annually.

“Screening saves lives, and cutting back on screening would cost lives,” said Dr. Timothy Johnson, an oncologist at Holyoke Medical Center in Massachusetts.

“I’m against the proposals to cut back the screening on women between the age of 40 and 50, absolutely,” he told AFP.

Some 210,000 American women are affected by the disease each year, and breast tumors are the most common cancer in women patients at Holyoke.

The task force’s findings came two years after the panel issued a report which looked at the same issue, but did not recommend raising the screening age.

Some wondered whether the recommendations issued Monday were part of a cost-cutting effort as the United States wrestles to reform its health care system, something it wasn’t doing two years ago.

Terra med Alliance News: But if that was the idea, cutting mammograms for younger women was not the way to go, said Dr Christine Pellegrino of the Montefiore-Einstein Center for Cancer Care in New York.

“Are they going to not reimburse mammograms for younger women versus potentially having to absorb the case of a woman who presents years later with advanced breast cancer where you’re talking chemotherapy, surgery, more chemo, radiation and a great potential for recurrence?” Pellegrino, who is director of Montefiore-Einstein’s breast clinic, wondered.

“Not only does that have a huge financial cost but also a devastating psychological impact,” said Pellegrino, who was also opposed to hiking the starting age for breast cancer screening.

“If a woman shows up at 50 for her first screening and they find out she has this big cancer, and you know that if you had screened her a few years earlier you would have found it… whether you’re the patient or the provider, if you have to say, ‘Well, if we had done this two years earlier,’ nobody will recover from that.”

Mammograms currently cost the US public health system, Medicare, between three and five billion dollars a year.

One reason the task force gave for phasing out mammograms for younger women was the higher incidence of false-positive results in the group. These caused significant stress and led to unnecessary biopsies and treatment.

But cancer survivor Debbie Guardian said a false-positive was a small price to pay for catching the real thing in time.

“What’s worse? A lot of stress only to find out it was plain old calcification or a lot of stress to discover you’ve got breast cancer but it’s treatable because you were screened on time?” Guardian, whose doctors confirmed she had breast cancer days after her 50th birthday last year, told AFP.

“I went every single year (for a mammogram) starting at 40. Had I not gone when I was still 49, I wouldn’t have known I had cancer because it wasn’t big enough for me to feel, but it was big enough to be serious,” she said.

“What this esteemed panel of experts is recommending is not wise, to put it politely. Based on personal experience, I wholeheartedly disagree with them,” she said.

Pellegrino said the panel’s recommendations went against years of efforts to raise awareness of breast cancer.

“To start telling women, ‘I know you just turned 40 but we’re not going to do your baseline mammogram’ — the reaction is going to be one of complete visceral disbelief like, ‘What do you mean I’m not going to have my mammogram’?”

According to this year’s report, one life is saved for every 1,900 women aged 40-49 screened for breast cancer, compared to one life for every 1,300 in the 50-59 year age group.

“You may have to screen 1,900 women a year to save one life, but that’s part of cancer screening,” said Johnson. “We see a lot of women in their 40s with breast cancer, and by screening younger women, we save lives.”

Lung tumor is the product of malignant cells forming in the tissues of the lung, usually in the cells lining the air passages. The cells in our bodies are constantly dividing and reproducing. Usually, there’s an organized pattern to this reproduction as cells use and specialize to convene particular needs. Occasionally, however, a faction becomes smashed. There’s a mutation in its DNA, and instead than budding and final as is ordinary, it continues to mimic unimpeded. In essence, this is pest – uncontrolled reproduction and tumor of abnormal cells in the body.

Most lung cancers are assumed to father in the epithelial lining of the lungs – the linings of the large and small airways that perform the errand of extracting oxygen from the air. Because this, lung evil is sometimes called bronchogenic carcinoma – melanoma arising from the bronchia. A smaller percentage of lung cancers arise in the pleura – the emaciated tissue sac that surrounds the lungs. These cancers are called mesothelioma. The most frequent form of mesothelioma is related to asbestos exposure.

Cancer of the lungs is one of the deadliest forms of blight. While it may take a phase of time to stem, the tumor regularly goes undetected pending recent in the manner. In addition, it tends to metastasize (migrate to other parts of the body) early, which leaves minus opportunities to dispute the mutated cells with surgery or radiation. Once the lung bane does metastasize, it briefly spreads to the most vulnerable and important organs of the body, particularly the adrenal glands, the liver, the brain and the bones.

There are two chief forms of lung plague – Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) and Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). Small Cell Lung Cancer is fewer everyday, although far more deadly. It’s soon related to cigarette smoking – fewer than 1% of SCLC is diagnosed in non-smokers. It’s also very aggressive and sharp-poignant, metastasizing briskly to other organs, and regularly undiscovered pending it’s already widespread.

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, on the other hand, is far more general, accounting for near 80% of all diagnosed lung cancers. There are three main types of non-small unit lung plague, generally characterized by the dimension, contour, and compound composition of the cells that form the scourge:

Squamous Cell Carcinoma (also termed Epidermoid Carcinoma): accounts for around 25% – 30% of all lung cancers, and is associated with a record of smoking. This canker is near forever found in the vital chest vicinity, near the bronchus.

Adenocarcinoma (also termed Bronchioloalveolar Carcinoma): accounts for around 40% of all lung cancers, and is found in the outer expanse of the lung. Treatment for this form of lung plague often leads to a more successful outcome than that of other lung cancers.

Large-Cell Undifferentiated Carcinoma: accounting for only 10% – 15% of lung cancers, this form may show up in any question of the lung. It tends to butter speedily, and often fallout in a pitiable forecast.

It’s also likely for lung menace to be a combination of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer types.

There are other, less joint types of lung sarcoma. For request, bronchial carcinoids are small tumors often found in people under 40 years of age. They lean to grow gradually, and be willing to dealing. Carcinoid tumors account for about 5% of lung tumors. Some are non-cancerous. The others are generally dawdling-budding and can be successfully treated with surgery.

Finally, some cancers discovered in the lungs aren’t lung cancers at all. Since the lungs are level to metastatic cancers from other sites, it’s not uncommon for tumors from other main cancers to find their way to the lungs. When this occurs, the tumors are often discovered in the peripheral tissues of the lungs fairly than in the principal tissues.

From the desk of Dr Laurence Magne, author of Cancer Free For Life

Is it possible to control and influence rate at which injuries, wounds and even cancer heal? That’s the question a group of researchers from the Ohio State University asked when they decided to observe wound healing rates in a group of exercising older adults in comparison to that of a non-exercising control group.

This three-month study looked at the effects of exercise on wound healing among healthy older adults. All participants had not exercised regularly for six months, so the 28 participants who were encouraged to exercise were given one month to acclimatize to a new exercise program that included 30 minutes of pedaling on a stationary bike, 15 minutes jogging or brisk walking on a treadmill, and 15 minutes of strength training. Fifteen participants acted as controls by not changing their level of physical activity. All then underwent a small puncture wound about half a centimeter across and deep on the back of the upper arm. Individual wounds were measured three times a week until fully healed. Regular exercisers took only 29 days to heal, while non-exercisers took up to 10 days longer to recover. From these results, researchers have speculated that exercise may speed wound healing by enhancing neuron-endocrine function, meaning that stronger individuals have a higher body function that helps the body heal wounds and cancer faster.

The point of this study is not that exercise is important. It is now acknowledged as an important factor in maintaining health. The main point is that even moderate exercise can improve the time to recover in wound and cancer healing.

In the case of a cancer diagnostic, the body and its recovery system: the immune system, are stressed by the attack of the disease on the body. Even a moderate level of exercise can improve your condition. Your breathing rate increases, bringing more oxygen to your cells. Your heart rate increases as well, pumping and circulating that oxygen to all parts of the body.

The immune system contains some of the fastest replicating cells in the human body. You must remember that self healing does occur for people with cancer. It doesn’t yet happen as often or as fast as it does with the cold or with the flu, but it can. The main strategy to improving the self-healing capacity of the body is obvious: increase the strength of the immune system. Strengthening the immune system is probably the most significant thing you can do for yourself to heal cancer and wounds quicker, and as a happy side-effect, many other life improvements come along with an improved immune system.

One very simple improvement is a modification in breathing. Far too often, we take quick and shallow breaths. This can lead to a higher blood pressure, as it constricts the blood vessels. That constriction slows our circulation, which also reduce the speed with which our immune system can respond to a problem.

Everything going on in your body is dependant upon a steady and regular circulation of blood. Anything that interferes with that circulation is unhealthy and needs to be resolved immediately. It can slow down healing and promote cancer.

The solution to this problem is really rather simple: commit five minutes, three times a day, to breathe deeply. You can do this while working, reading, driving, etc. You’ll probably find it most beneficial if you start your day and end your day with one of these five minute breathing exercises. To learn more ways to remain cancer-free, read Cancer Free For Life. Dr Magne has written in it the results of extensive studies and research that demonstrate the cancer can be healed without chemotherapy or surgery.

In close conjunction with the concept of deeper and more thorough breathing is the practice of relaxation with breathing exercises. This focuses solely on the action of breathing while you do it. Obviously, then, this requires that you not be driving or reading a book. Instead you simply find a comfortable place to sit, put yourself into the most comfortable sitting posture, and focus on your breathing.

To really focus on breathing during this time, you should focus your attention on your belly, as if you have a balloon in your stomach. Inhale, slowly, to fill the balloon and focus on the expansion happening in your stomach area. Hold the breath for a comfortable amount of time and exhale slowly, depleting the balloon in your stomach.

You’ll probably find out almost immediately that you feel a lot better…even if you didn’t realize you could! In the process, you are also strengthening your immune system, providing it with the necessary support to speed healing of cancer and wounds.

Cancer treatments can cause serious damage to the immune system. This damage opens you up to a wide-range of infections and diseases. If you are diagnosed with cancer, it’s important that you listen to what your physician tells you with an open mind. Don’t operate under the assumption that your doctor will know everything there is to know. Research all your other options, learn everything you can and take control of your own recovery. Your doctor doesn’t have the time to get to know you. Often the prognostic you receive is only the result of statistics and probabilities, but doesn’t take into account your own ability to recover and your will to live.

Even moderate exercise and deep breathing can save your life from cancer by speeding up your healing.

Chemotherapy, in its most general sense, refers to treatment of disease by chemicals that kill cells, specifically those of micro-organisms or cancer. Chemotherapy works by destroying cancer cells; unfortunately, it cannot tell the difference between a cancer cell and some healthy cells. Chemotherapy may be given in many ways. It can be administered through a vein, injected into a body cavity, or delivered orally in the form of a pill, depending on which drug is used. Chemotherapy is sometimes used along with other cancer treatments, such as radiation therapy, surgery, or biological therapy (the use of substances to boost the body’s immune system while fighting cancer). Chemotherapy was formed from mustard gases, which was in use as chemical- arms during the 1st World-War. Chemotherapy for the treatment of cancer began in the 1940s with the use of nitrogen mustard.

When cancer treatment includes chemotherapy, patients have many questions. More than half of all people diagnosed with cancer receive chemotherapy. Chemo works by destroying cancer cells; unfortunately, it cannot tell the difference between a cancer cell and some healthy cells. So chemotherapy eliminates not only the fast-growing cancer cells but also other fast-growing cells in your body, including, hair and blood cells.

Your course of therapy will depend on the cancer type, the chemotherapy drugs used, the treatment goal and how your body responds. Adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy are often given following surgery for many types of cancer, including colon cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and some gynaecological cancers. Over time, cancer cells become more resistant to chemotherapy treatments.

Patients who are better prepared tend to have fewer side effects and a higher emotional ability to handle the chemotherapy treatments. Patients receiving chemotherapy are more likely to get infections. Under certain circumstances, your doctor may decide your body is too weak to receive chemotherapy. You may have breaks between treatments so that your body has a chance to build new healthy cells. The side effects of chemotherapy come about because cancer cells aren’t the only rapidly dividing cells in your body. Radiation therapy directs high-energy X-rays at a person’s body to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. Radiation therapy also attacks quickly growing cells in your body, but unlike chemotherapy, it affects only the specific area where treatment is concentrated. Biological therapy, also called immunotherapy, consists of treatment with substances that boost the body’s own immune system against cancer.

Receiving chemo during childhood also may place some kids at risk for delayed growth and cognitive development, depending on the child’s age, the type of drug used, the dosage, and whether chemotherapy was used in addition to radiation therapy. People who receive radiation therapy before having chemotherapy may notice that involved skin may turn red, blister, and peel once chemo begins. When a cancer has been removed by surgery or treated with radiation therapy, chemotherapy may be used to keep the cancer from coming back (adjuvant therapy). Given after surgery or radiation, the goal of adjuvant therapy is to eliminate any cancer cells that might linger in your body after earlier treatments. The combination of radiation and chemotherapy can further increase your risk of heart damage.

Chemotherapy is usually administered for approximately 6-12 months or until a patient achieves a plateau response or stable disease, especially if the therapy is well tolerated. Chemotherapy can be frightening to think about. Chemo may cause short term (acute), long term (chronic), and permanent side effects, some of which may be severe. Chemotherapy can have many unpleasant side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, hair loss, mouth sores, Anemia (decreased numbers of red blood cells; may cause fatigue, dizziness, and shortness of breath) Leukopenia (decreased numbers of white blood cells; may lower resistance to infection), Thrombocytopenia (decreased numbers of platelets; may lead to easy bleeding or bruising), gastrointestinal symptoms, and even heart disease.

There are other options to chemotherapy that are successful in treating cancer but perhaps more important, there are steps we can take to prevent cancer and to avoid the horrible effects of chemo and radiation.

Cancer is an epidemic.

Everywhere I turn nowadays there are friends and family members telling me about someone they know that is going through it.

It is scary, but we must take all precautions, and if we are already going through it, it’s important to know and use these important facts:

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body.

These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few

billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person’s lifetime.

3. When the person’s immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies.

These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and also destroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size.

However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the foods it needs to multiply.

CANCER CELLS FEED ON:

a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be stevia. (We have the best called Sunny Dew or Sunectar) Available at http://opp.sunrider.com/SunGirl

Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in colour. Better alternative is Bragg’s aminos or sea salt.

b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus, especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells are being starved.

c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer.

d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment.

About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells.

To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean sprouts) and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day.

Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C).

e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine.

Green tea is a better alternative and has cancer-fighting properties. (Calli and Fortune Delight is concentrated green tea, without the tanic acids). Available at http://opp.sunrider.com/SunGirl

Water – best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy

metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become petrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack the protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body’s killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

14. Some supplements build up the immune system ( VitaFruit, Quinary, Alpha 20c ( Available at http://opp.sunrider.com/SunGirl)all great anti-oxidants, etc.) to enable the body’s own killer cells to destroy cancer cells.

Other supplements like vitamin E (Energy Plus) are known to cause apoptosis, or

programmed cell death, the body’s normal method of disposing of damaged,

unwanted, or unneeded cells.

15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor.

Anger, resentment and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life!

16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment.

Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellular level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.

CANCER UPDATE FROM JOHN HOPKINS HOSPITAL , U.S. :

1. No plastic containers in micro.

2. No water bottles in freezer.

3. No plastic wrap in microwave.

Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well.

Dioxin chemicals cause cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies.

Don’t freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic.

Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital was on aTV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are

for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body.

Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin.

So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else.

Paper isn’t bad but you don’t know what is in the paper. It’s just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded usthat a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper.

The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food.

Cover food with a paper towel instead.

Learn and pass it forward.

CHOI
Help answer the question about Alternative health Preventing Cancer
A cure for all diseases: Prevention ?
The Health Care System Lie.

Half way in the middle of Canada lies the Sleeping Giant, a natural rock formation, a monument to itself, and if you know the story, a story of betrayal and maybe someday a monument to deceptive half-truths, where truths can lie. As the legend goes the truth of the mine of silver was betrayed.

On June 7th, the Canadian Cancer society announced 'research" indicated that vitamin D can help prevent some 60% of cancers. For decades alternative scientists have suggested that basic and simple methods exist to deal with the cancer problem, however mainstream science in North America has been motivated in finding a patent able profitable treatment, expensive molecular research and expensive treatments; another classic half-truth. Some people don't see prevention as a cure, believing in a cure is treating people with a cancer. But if we prevent cancers, is that not the simplest, and best of possible cures ?

Many people believe cancers just happen. Cancers develop if you follow an unhealthy diet full of cancer causing food over a prolonged period of time. Certain food contains a lot of cancer promoting substances called carcinogens. In this article, we will discover the 3 common types of carcinogens most people are exposed to on a daily basis, what types of food we should and should not eat to prevent cancer.

Acrylamide: A Cancer Causing Chemical?

Acrylamide has been used in industries that specialize in the creation of plastic, manufacturing of food packaging and treatment of contaminated water. Unknown to most of us, scientists recently discoverd that acrylamide can be created during high temperature cooking methods like baking, microwaving, roasting and frying. Although acrylamide has been proven to cause cancer in animals, experts have not found absolute evidence that is causes cancer in humans even though it is toxic to our bodies. French fries top the charts of food that contain the highest levels of acrylamide, followed by certain brands of potato chips, breakfast cereals, cookies, brewed coffee and toast bread according to the US FDA/CFSAN 2006 Exposure Assessment for Acrylamide.

Sodium Nitrate: Why You Should Avoid It

Sodium nitrate is a standard food additive of processed meat. When added to meat, it maintains the redness of the meat to make it look more appealing at the neglection of your health. Sodium nitrate on it’s own is quite harmless but it changes into a carcinogenic substance called nitrosamine during the digestion process, thus promoting the development of cancer cells. Almost all forms of processed meat like pepperoni, salami, ham, sausages, bacon and bologna contain sodium nitrate.

Trans Fat: The Worst Fat In The World

Trans fat or trans-fatty acids (TFAs) ranks as the most terrible kind of fat. Trans fat is created by a hydrogenation process that transforms unsaturated vegetable oils to a semi-solid state. Vegetable oil companies do this to improve flavor stability, to extend the shelf life of their products and to save money. Our bodies do not readily accept these hydrogenated oils and it takes a lot of extra energy to try to digest it thoroughly, as a result, sections of it clogs our arteries if we do not burn it off through exercise. Furthermore, trans fat tends to increase the levels of bad cholesterol and reduce the good cholesterol in our bodies, creating a greater risk of getting heart disease. Trans fat is commonly found in hydrogenated oils, partially hydrogenated oils, food with vegetable shortening, pastries and commercially deep-fried food.

Foods and Cancer: What To Eat And What To Avoid

If we eliminate or severely restrict our of the 3 carcinogens above and other unnecessary substances like sugar, tobacco, salt and alcohol, we should be able to avoid cancer and a whole lot of other major diseases. However, it is not easy for people to choose to have a healthy body over the enjoyment of good food. The decision is up to you to decide which is more important to you. At the minimum, consume as much organic vegetables, fruit and meat as you can. Try your best to eat raw vegetables and fruit that is high in antioxidants, nutrients and fiber, and you should be way ahead of the general public. As a general rule, eat what mother nature intended us to eat and avoid man-made food.

Breaf History of Hyperthermia

The healing effect of heat treatment was already mentioned in the advanced cultures of the old Egypt (2400 B.C.), but only the medical professionals of the Greek Antique used this therapeutic approach consistently, acknowledged it and called it over-warming (in Greek: Hyperthermia). “Give me the power to produce fever and I heal every illness”, said Parmenides, Greek physician, 540-480 B.C.

<a rel="external nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://www.mesothelioma-asbestoscancer.org%2Fmesothelioma-treatment.html&_gwt_noimg=1&gsessionid=zcw7Oti0DBa7qPocUfnUgA”>Hyperthermia in cancer treatmentHyperthermia (also called thermal therapy or thermotherapy) is an acute condition which occurs when the body produces or absorbs more heat than it can dissipate. It is usually caused by prolonged exposure to high temperatures. The heat-regulating mechanisms of the body eventually become overwhelmed and unable to effectively deal with the heat, causing the body temperature to climb uncontrollably.

Hyperthermia can also be created artificially by drugs or medical devices. In these instances it may be used to treat cancer and other conditions. Cancer cells are more heat-sensitive than healthy cells and their structure reacts differently to overheating. In 1910 the possibility of overheating in order to increase the radiation effect on malicious tumors was described for the first time. This already well-known and applied method was rediscovered as so called “whole body hyperthermia” in the beginning of the 1960s. Since the 70s a number of studies were run to further investigate this therapy form.

Research has shown that high temperatures (up to 44C) can damage and kill cancer cells, usually with minimal injury to normal tissues. By killing cancer cells and damaging proteins and structures within cells, hyperthermia may shrink tumors.

Hyperthermia is almost always used with other forms of cancer therapy, such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Hyperthermia may make some cancer cells more sensitive to radiation or harm other cancer cells that radiation cannot damage. When hyperthermia and radiation therapy are combined, they are often given within an hour of each other. Hyperthermia can also enhance the effects of certain anticancer drugs, which is mutually strengthened thereby and a healing more likely – the so-called synergistic effect of hyperthermia. It was found out that cytostatic drugs (chemotherapy substances) clearly act more aggressively at temperatures over 40 C than within the range of the normal body temperature.
